Inspiring Women In Business

In light of Women’s History Month, we take a look at some of the most inspiring women in business. Our networking group is keen to ensure our female members feel recognized for their contributions and achievements in the corporate sphere and our society.

Why should we celebrate women in business?

Why do we need gender diversity in the corporate world? Why should companies strive to make their workforce and workplace gender diverse and inclusive? Gender inclusivity has a direct, positive impact on company staff retention and satisfaction. Gender-diverse work environments help to create a culture of inclusion that is beneficial for everyone. According to the International Labour Organization survey from 2018, companies with inclusive business culture and policies are predicted to achieve a better ability to attract and retain talent by 60%, increase their team’s creativity by 59%, and higher profitability and productivity by 63%. Despite the many positives associated with having diversity in the workplace, statistics reveal that for women CEOs of Fortune 500 companies in 2021, there were more than 10 times as many companies run by men.
